Nga Hau e Wha
The Mānuka Charitable Trust was formed in 2019 and its purpose is to protect the mana (status), mauri (life force) and value of Mānuka and other taonga species on behalf of all New Zealanders. Our Trustees (below) stand for mānuka, representing Māori across Aotearoa and working with local communities to protect this precious species. Through our work in legal, scientific, and advocacy initiatives—both here and globally—we’re making sure mānuka is respected and protected. Our work supports the communities, industry and organisations responsible for Mānuka Honey, creating opportunities and ensuring the value of mānuka is shared with those who care for it.
